Brussels in Shorts is an international graphic short story contest organised by Passa Porta (the international house of literature in Brussels). I wrote a story & Michaël Olbrechts drew it. The stories had to take place in a hotel in Brussels, we chose hotel Le Berger. And (yay!), our story was selected & has been published in a book: Bruss.2. Starting next week, the stories will be exhibited in the Belgian Comic Strip Center, more information here.

Brussels in Shorts is een internationale grafische kortverhalenwedstrijd van literatuurhuis Passa Porta. Ik schreef een verhaal en Michaël Olbrechts tekende het. En (hoera) nu staat het in het boek Bruss.2 (uitgeverij Oogachtend). Het verhaal moest zich afspelen in een hotel, wij kozen het rendez-vous hotel Le Berger. Vanaf volgende week worden de verhalen tentoongesteld in het stripmuseum, meer info hier.

Illustration for Klasse (a magazine published by the Flemish department of education). This is the image they used to announce a poetry competition. The theme of the competition was education & wonder.

Naar aanleiding van gedichtendag organiseerde Klasse (het onderwijstijdschrift) een poëziewedstrijd. Het thema van de wedstrijd was onderwijs en verwondering. De winnende gedichten werden opgenomen in een bundel die ik mocht illustreren. Dit is het beeld dat gebruikt werd voor de aankondiging van de wedstrijd.
